Ingredients

For the filling
  • 4 oz Cream cheese, softened Make sure your cream cheese is softened beforehand for a smooth texture.
  • 1 cup Strawberries, diced Feel free to substitute with other fruits if strawberries aren't in season.
  • 2 tablespoons Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
For assembly
  • 8 pieces Wonton wrappers
  • Cooking spray Lightly spray for preventing sticking in the air fryer.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, diced strawberries, sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined and creamy.
  2. Take a wonton wrapper and place about a tablespoon of the filling in the center. Moisten the edges with water, fold the wrapper over to create a triangle, and press to seal. Ensure there are no air pockets.
Cooking
  1. Lightly coat the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  2. Place the filled wontons in the air fryer in a single layer. Spray the tops lightly with cooking spray. Air fry at 350°F (175°C) for about 8-10 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
  3. Once cooked, let the wontons cool for a few minutes before serving. They can be enjoyed on their own or with whipped cream or powdered sugar.

Notes

If using other fruits, consider adding lemon zest for a refreshing kick. Watch cooking times closely as they may vary based on your air fryer. Ensure edges of wonton wrappers are well sealed to prevent filling from oozing out during cooking. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheat in the air fryer or oven.
