Air Fryer Potatoes

Air Fryer Potatoes are a quick, healthy, and delicious way to enjoy crispy, golden potatoes without the need for deep frying. The air fryer cooks the potatoes to perfection, giving them a crispy exterior while keeping the inside fluffy and tender.

Equipment

  • - Air fryer
  • Knife and cutting board
  • - Mixing bowl
  • - Measuring spoons

Ingredients

  • - 4 medium potatoes russet, Yukon Gold, or red potatoes
  • - 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • - 1 teaspoon paprika
  • - Salt and pepper to taste
  • - Optional: Fresh parsley chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  • **Prepare the Potatoes**
  • Wash and peel (optional) the potatoes. Cut them into your desired shape: fries, wedges, or cubes. Try to keep the pieces as uniform as possible to ensure even cooking.
  • **Season the Potatoes**
  • Place the cut potatoes into a mixing bowl. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Toss well to coat all the pieces evenly with the seasoning mixture.
  • **Preheat the Air Fryer**
  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  • **Cook the Potatoes**
  • Place the seasoned potatoes in the air fryer basket in a single layer. You may need to cook them in batches depending on the size of your air fryer. Air fry for 18-22 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through the cooking time for even crispiness. The potatoes should be golden brown and crispy on the outside, and tender on the inside.
  • **Serve**
  • Once the potatoes are cooked to your desired crispiness, remove them from the air fryer. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve immediately.
