Air Fryer Potatoes
Air Fryer Potatoes are a quick, healthy, and delicious way to enjoy crispy, golden potatoes without the need for deep frying. The air fryer cooks the potatoes to perfection, giving them a crispy exterior while keeping the inside fluffy and tender.
- Air fryer
Knife and cutting board
- Mixing bowl
- Measuring spoons
- - 4 medium potatoes russet, Yukon Gold, or red potatoes
- - 2 tablespoons olive oil
- - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- - 1 teaspoon paprika
- - Salt and pepper to taste
- - Optional: Fresh parsley chopped (for garnish)
**Prepare the Potatoes**
Wash and peel (optional) the potatoes. Cut them into your desired shape: fries, wedges, or cubes. Try to keep the pieces as uniform as possible to ensure even cooking.
**Season the Potatoes**
Place the cut potatoes into a mixing bowl. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Toss well to coat all the pieces evenly with the seasoning mixture.
**Preheat the Air Fryer**
Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
**Cook the Potatoes**
Place the seasoned potatoes in the air fryer basket in a single layer. You may need to cook them in batches depending on the size of your air fryer. Air fry for 18-22 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through the cooking time for even crispiness. The potatoes should be golden brown and crispy on the outside, and tender on the inside.
**Serve**
Once the potatoes are cooked to your desired crispiness, remove them from the air fryer. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve immediately.
