Preparation
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.
- In a medium saucepan, combine water, butter, salt, and sugar. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring frequently until the butter is melted.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and quickly stir in the flour until the dough pulls away from the sides of the pan and forms a ball.
- Allow the dough to cool slightly, then add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract until fully combined.
- Prepare a piping bag or a plastic zip bag with the corner snipped off. Fill it with the churro dough and pipe long strips of dough onto parchment paper or an air fryer-safe tray.
Cooking
- Place the churros in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for about 10-12 minutes or until golden brown, flipping halfway through.
- Once cooked, remove the churros from the air fryer and roll them in cinnamon sugar while they’re still warm.
Serving
- Your Air Fryer Light Churros are ready to be served! Enjoy them plain or with dipping sauces of your choice!
Notes
