Ingredients

For the garlic butter
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional) Add for extra heat
For the bread
  • 1 loaf French bread Can substitute with ciabatta or other bread
  • Grated to taste Parmesan cheese (optional) Add right after cooking

Method

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, fresh parsley, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Mix until well combined.
  2. Cut the loaf of French bread in half lengthwise to create two long halves.
  3. Generously spread the garlic butter mixture over each half of the bread, covering the entire surface for maximum flavor.
  4. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Place the prepared bread halves in the air fryer basket, cut side up, and cook for about 5-7 minutes or until golden and crispy.
  5. If using Parmesan cheese, sprinkle it on right after taking the bread out of the air fryer while it's still hot.
  6. Slice into pieces, serve immediately, and enjoy!

Notes

For best results, watch the bread closely during the last few minutes of cooking to achieve the perfect crispiness. Store any leftovers in an airtight container; it will last for about 2-3 days in the fridge. If freezing, wrap tightly and consume within a month. Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for 3-5 minutes to regain crispiness.
