Preparation
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Take your slices of bread and place them in the air fryer basket. Lightly toast them for about 3-5 minutes, until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the toasted bread from the air fryer and generously spread a layer of cottage cheese on each slice.
- Top the cottage cheese with slices of fresh tomato, arranging them nicely.
- Sprinkle salt and pepper over the tomatoes. Optionally, drizzle olive oil and balsamic vinegar for extra flavor.
- Return the topped toast to the air fryer for 2-3 minutes to warm the tomatoes slightly.
- Remove from the air fryer, garnish with fresh herbs, and serve immediately.
Notes
Best enjoyed fresh, but can be stored in an airtight container for up to two days. Reheat in the air fryer or toaster oven to crisp up again.
