Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 4 medium-sized apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp) Choose sweet and tart varieties for best flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons sugar Can adjust based on sweetness preference.
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted Can substitute with a non-dairy alternative.
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by washing your apples thoroughly. Core and slice them into wedges for easier cooking and eating.
  2. In a bowl, combine sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla extract. Add in the melted butter and mix until you have a well-combined mixture.
  3. Add the apple slices into the bowl and toss them with the cinnamon mixture until they are all nicely coated.
  4. Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (about 175°C).
Cooking
  1. Place the coated apple slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for about 10-12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through for even cooking.
  2. Check for doneness; the apples should be tender but not mushy. If they need extra time, feel free to air fry for an additional 2-3 minutes.
Serving
  1. Once done, remove from the air fryer and let them cool slightly before serving. Enjoy alone or topped with ice cream, honey, or your favorite nuts!

Notes

For the best results, choose flavorful apple varieties and avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket. Experiment with different toppings for added crunch.
