Preparation
- Press the firm tofu to remove excess moisture. Wrap it in a clean kitchen towel and place a heavy object on top. Let it sit for about 15 minutes.
- Crumble the tofu into a mixing bowl using a fork or your hands.
Mixing
- Add the breadcrumbs, soy sauce, cornstarch, garlic powder, onion powder, and season with salt and pepper. Mix until well combined.
Forming
- Form the tofu mixture into small balls, roughly the size of a golf ball.
Cooking
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Spray the air fryer basket with oil to prevent sticking. Place the balls inside the basket, ensuring they are not overcrowded.
- Air-fry for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown, flipping them halfway through.
Serving
- Remove the Air-Fried Tofu Balls with care and serve them warm with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for about 5 minutes.
