Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 1 block firm tofu Make sure to press to remove excess moisture.
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs Gluten-free breadcrumbs can be used for a gluten-free variant.
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • as needed Oil spray For spraying the air fryer basket.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Press the firm tofu to remove excess moisture. Wrap it in a clean kitchen towel and place a heavy object on top. Let it sit for about 15 minutes.
  2. Crumble the tofu into a mixing bowl using a fork or your hands.
Mixing
  1. Add the breadcrumbs, soy sauce, cornstarch, garlic powder, onion powder, and season with salt and pepper. Mix until well combined.
Forming
  1. Form the tofu mixture into small balls, roughly the size of a golf ball.
Cooking
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.
  2. Spray the air fryer basket with oil to prevent sticking. Place the balls inside the basket, ensuring they are not overcrowded.
  3. Air-fry for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown, flipping them halfway through.
Serving
  1. Remove the Air-Fried Tofu Balls with care and serve them warm with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for about 5 minutes.
