Preparation
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Using a meat mallet or rolling pin, gently pound the chicken cutlets to an even thickness.
- In one bowl, mix breadcrumbs, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. In another bowl, beat the egg.
- Dip each chicken cutlet into the egg mixture, ensuring they are thoroughly coated. Then roll them in the breadcrumb mix until well covered, pressing down slightly.
- Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
- Arrange the breaded chicken cutlets in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
- Air fry the cutlets for 10-15 minutes, flipping them halfway through, until golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Remove the cutlets from the air fryer and let them rest for a couple of minutes before serving.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, air fry at 350°F (175°C) for 5-7 minutes or bake at the same temperature. They can be frozen for up to 3 months with parchment paper between each cutlet.
