  • 2 cutlets chicken cutlets Flatten for even cooking.
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs Choose whole wheat or seasoned for added flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 large egg Beaten.
  • as needed cooking spray For preventing sticking.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Using a meat mallet or rolling pin, gently pound the chicken cutlets to an even thickness.
  3. In one bowl, mix breadcrumbs, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. In another bowl, beat the egg.
  4. Dip each chicken cutlet into the egg mixture, ensuring they are thoroughly coated. Then roll them in the breadcrumb mix until well covered, pressing down slightly.
  5. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
  6. Arrange the breaded chicken cutlets in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  7. Air fry the cutlets for 10-15 minutes, flipping them halfway through, until golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  8. Remove the cutlets from the air fryer and let them rest for a couple of minutes before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, air fry at 350°F (175°C) for 5-7 minutes or bake at the same temperature. They can be frozen for up to 3 months with parchment paper between each cutlet.
