Ingredients
  

  • - 1 lb ground beef or ground turkey for a lighter option
  • - 1 small onion diced
  • - 3 cloves garlic minced
  • - 4 cups green cabbage chopped
  • - 1 large carrot diced
  • - 1 can 28 oz crushed tomatoes
  • - 1 can 14 oz diced tomatoes
  • - 4 cups beef broth
  • - 1 cup cooked white rice or brown rice
  • - 1 teaspoon salt
  • - 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • - 1 teaspoon paprika
  • - 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • - 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • - 1 bay leaf
  • - 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions
 

  • #### **Step 1: Brown the Beef**
  • Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  • Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon.
  • Add onion and garlic, cooking for 2-3 minutes until softened.
  • #### **Step 2: Add the Vegetables & Seasonings**
  • Stir in chopped cabbage, carrots, salt, pepper, paprika, thyme, Worcestershire sauce, and bay leaf.
  • Cook for 5 minutes until the cabbage starts to soften.

  • Pour in crushed tomatoes, diced tomatoes, and beef broth.
