Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 2-quart casserole dish.
In a large bowl, combine the drained crushed pineapple and cottage cheese. Mix until well-combined.
Add in the shredded cheddar cheese, sugar, and beaten eggs. Stir everything together until nicely blended.
In a separate bowl, mix the crushed crackers with melted butter until well-coated.
Fold the cracker mixture into the pineapple and cheese mixture, saving a handful to sprinkle on top.
Transfer the mixture to the greased casserole dish and spread it evenly.
Top with the remaining cracker mixture.
Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
Remove from the oven, let it cool for a few minutes, then serve warm. Enjoy!
