Welcome to the delicious world of Cinnamon Cream Cheese Cookies, where creamy textures and delightful spices come together to create a cookie experience like no other! These cookies are not only soft and flavorful but also surprisingly easy to make.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter room temperature
  • 4 oz cream cheese room temperature
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 3/4 cup flour
  • 3/4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon

Instructions

  • Prepare the Dough: In a large bowl, beat together the room-temperature butter and cream cheese until the mixture is light and smooth. Gradually mix in the powdered sugar until it's fully combined.
  • Add Egg and Vanilla: Crack in the egg and add the vanilla extract, mixing until the dough is smooth and creamy.
  • Sift Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt. This is an important step to ensure a light and airy dough.
  • Combine Wet and Dry: Slowly incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring thoroughly until combined.
  • Chill the Dough: Cover your bowl with plastic wrap and chill the dough in the refrigerator for at least 60 minutes. This helps the flavors meld together and makes for easier rolling.
  • Preheat and Prepare: When you’re ready to bake, preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Cinnamon Sugar Coating: In a small bowl, combine the sugar and cinnamon.
  • Shape the Cookies: Scoop the chilled dough and roll it into 1-inch diameter balls. Roll each ball in the cinnamon-sugar mixture until fully coated.
  • Bake: Arrange the coated dough balls on the baking sheet, ensuring space for spreading, and bake for 8-10 minutes, until the edges are lightly golden.
  • Cool and Enjoy: Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
