A Sweet Treat for Everyone

Imagine the warm aroma of freshly baked dough filled with gooey chocolate chips wafting through your home; that’s the magic of Eggless Chocolate Chip Cookies! Whether you're abstaining from eggs due to dietary restrictions, allergies, or personal preferences, these delightful cookies promise all the taste without compromising on flavor or texture. Fun fact: chocolate chip cookies were invented by Ruth Wakefield in the 1930s, and they have since become a beloved favorite in households all over the world—eggless or not!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup white granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup milk or as needed
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Method

  1. Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
  3. Cream Butter and Sugars: In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until creamy and fluffy.
  4. Add Vanilla and Milk: Stir in the vanilla extract and add milk gradually. Mix until well combined.
  5. Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients: Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  6. Fold in Chocolate Chips: Gently fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  7. Scoop onto Baking Tray: Use a cookie scoop or tablespoon to drop dough balls onto a lined baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake: Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are golden brown but the center is still soft.
  9. Cool and Serve: Allow them to cool on the tray for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely. Enjoy!
