A Sweet Slice of Happiness

If there’s one recipe that can brighten up a gloomy day, it’s chocolate-studded banana bread! This delightful treat is not only moist and flavorful, but it also boasts the irresistible combination of ripe bananas and rich chocolate—a match made in culinary heaven. Did you know that overripe bananas make the best banana bread? That’s right! Instead of tossing them in the trash, you can transform them into a soft, sweet loaf that your family will devour.

Ingredients

  • 3 overripe bananas mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar you can adjust according to preference
  • 1 large egg beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chocolate chips semi-sweet or dark

Instructions

  • Preheat and Prepare: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 4x8-inch loaf pan.
  • Mix Wet Ingredients: In a mixing bowl, mash the overripe bananas with a fork until smooth. Stir in the melted butter.
  • Combine the Dry Ingredients: Mix in the baking soda and salt, followed by the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract. Blend well.
  • Add the Flour: Gently fold in the flour until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  • Add the Chocolate: Finally, fold in the chocolate chips, distributing them evenly throughout the batter.
  • Pour and Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Cool and Slice: Let the bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
