A Sweet and Savory Delight Awaits!

Imagine stepping into a welcoming home filled with the warm, tantalizing aroma of a delicious meal wafting through the air.

Ingredients

  • 1 fully cooked bone-in ham about 8-10 lbs
  • 1 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

Instructions

  • Preheat Your Oven: Start by preheating your oven to 325°F (165°C).
  • Prepare the Ham: Place the fully cooked ham on a roasting pan. Score the surface in a diamond pattern, about an inch apart.
  • Mix the Glaze: In a saucepan over medium heat, combine honey, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, ground cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg, and apple cider vinegar. Stir until the mixture is well blended and simmer for about 5-7 minutes.
  • Glaze the Ham: Brush the glaze generously over the scored surfaces of the ham, making sure to get into those grooves.
  • Bake the Ham: Cover it loosely with aluminum foil to prevent excessive browning. Bake for about 1.5 hours, basting it with the glaze every 30 minutes. Remove the foil in the last 30 minutes to allow it to caramelize beautifully.
  • Check Doneness: The ham is ready when heated through and reaches an internal temperature of 140°F (60°C). If you like a crispy exterior, consider broiling it for the last 5 minutes.
  • Let it Rest: Once out of the oven, let the ham rest for at least 15 minutes before slicing, allowing the juices to redistribute.
