A Sweet and Cozy Delight!

Imagine the sweet aroma of cinnamon wafting through your kitchen, inviting you to indulge in a slice of soft, spongy delight.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup of whole milk
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp. almond extract optional
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar for topping
  • 1 tbsp. ground cinnamon for topping

Instructions
 

  • Preheat and Prepare: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal later.
  • Mix the Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, ground cinnamon, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
  • Add the Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, mix the eggs, whole milk, melted butter, vanilla extract, and almond extract (if using). Blend until smooth.
  • Combine the Mixtures: Gently combine the dry and wet ingredients together, being careful not to overmix. A few lumps are okay!
  • Prepare for Baking: Pour the batter into your prepared loaf pan. In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar and additional cinnamon for the topping, then sprinkle this mixture evenly over the batter.
  • Bake: Place in the preheated oven and bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Cool and Enjoy: Once baked, allow it to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before unmolding. Let it cool completely on a wire rack before slicing.
