Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 cloves garlic minced (for the sauce)
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). This ensures that your meatballs will cook evenly and stay juicy!
  • Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, egg, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Use your hands or a spoon to mix until just combined.
  • Form the Meatballs: Roll the mixture into meatballs, about 1-2 inches in diameter. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
  • Bake: Pop the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through and golden on the outside.
  • Prepare the Sauce: While the meatballs are baking, melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic, and sauté until it becomes fragrant (1-2 minutes). Stir in the lemon juice and zest.
  • Combine: Once the meatballs are done, drizzle the lemon garlic butter sauce over them. Garnish with extra chopped parsley for that pop of color!
  • Serve: Enjoy these delectable meatballs warm right out of the oven!
