Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast boneless and skinless
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 cup vegetable oil for frying
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • Optional: Sesame seeds and green onions for garnish

Instructions

  • Prepare the Chicken: Cut the chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces and set aside.
  • Create the Coating: In a bowl, combine flour, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Mix well.
  • Coat the Chicken: Dredge each chicken piece in the flour mixture, pressing lightly to ensure the coating adheres well.
  • Heat the Oil: In a large frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  • Fry the Chicken: Add the coated chicken pieces to the hot oil in batches. Fry for about 4-5 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  • Prepare the Sauce: In a separate saucepan, mix soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, and cornstarch. Cook over medium heat until the sauce thickens.
  • Combine: Once the chicken is crisp and the sauce is ready, toss the chicken in the sauce until well coated.
  • Serve: Plate the chicken and garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions. Enjoy!
