A Delightful Treat: Candy Pavé with Cream

Ingredients
  

  • 1 kg Sonho de Valsa or Ouro Branco candy cut in half
  • 1 liter of milk
  • 1 can of condensed milk
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 4 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla essence
  • 1 can of cream
  • 500 g melted semi-sweet chocolate

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the Cream Mixture:
  • In a saucepan, combine the milk, condensed milk, egg yolks, cornstarch, and vanilla essence. Cook over medium heat, stirring continuously until the mixture thickens and becomes creamy. Remove from heat and let it cool completely.
  • Fold in the Cream:
  • Once the mixture has cooled, fold in the whipped cream until it is fully incorporated, creating a light and airy texture.
  • Layer the Candy:
  • In a serving dish, layer the halved candies at the bottom. Pour half of the cream mixture over the candies, smoothing it out evenly.
  • Prepare the Chocolate Layer:
  • Mix the melted semi-sweet chocolate with a small part of the cream to create a chocolate layer. Pour this over the white cream.
  • Finish the Layers:
  • Add the remaining white cream mixture on top and smooth it out.
  • Chill:
  • Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until set.
  • Serve:
