  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce

  • Preheat Your Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare your cake pan by greasing it with butter or cooking spray.
  • Cream Butter and Sugar: In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter and sugar together until the mixture becomes light and fluffy.
  • Add Eggs: Incorporate the eggs, one at a time, ensuring each egg is mixed in thoroughly before adding the next.
  • Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, and a pinch of salt.
  • Mix in Water and Vanilla: Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to your butter mixture while alternately incorporating the water and vanilla. Stir until just combined.
  • Bake: Pour the batter into your prepared cake pan and smooth the top. Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Cool: Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Finish with Caramel Sauce: Once cooled, generously drizzle the caramel sauce over the top of the cake to create a lovely, sweet glaze.
