This dish is not just for brunch; it's a fantastic choice for lunch, dinner, or even a late-night snack.

Ingredients

  • 9- inch Pie Crust: Store-bought or homemade.
  • 6 Large Eggs: These form the liquid base for the custard.
  • 1 Cup Milk: Adds creaminess to the filling.
  • 1 Cup Cheese: A combination of cheddar and Swiss works beautifully.
  • 1 Cup Cooked Bacon: Crumbled into bite-sized pieces.
  • 1/2 Cup Green Onions: Chopped for added flavor.
  • Salt & Pepper: To taste.

Instructions

  • Prepare the Pie Crust: If using a store-bought pie crust, roll it out and place it into a 9-inch pie pan. If you prefer homemade, prepare your crust as needed, then fit it into the pan.
  • Cook the Bacon: In a skillet, cook your bacon over medium heat until crispy. Drain on paper towels and crumble into small pieces once cooled.
  • Mix the Filling: In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk. Season with salt and pepper. Stir in the crumbled bacon, chopped green onions, and shredded cheese until evenly combined.
  • Pour and Bake: Pour the filling mixture into the prepared pie crust. Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes or until the quiche is set and the top is golden.
  • Cool: Once done, remove it from the oven and allow it to cool for a few minutes before slicing.
  • Serve: Enjoy warm or at room temperature.
