Ingredients

Pasta and Dressing
  • 8 oz pasta (your preference such as rotini, penne, or bow tie) Cook according to package instructions
  • 1/2 cup pesto sauce (homemade or store-bought)
Vegetables and Cheese
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes (halved)
  • 1 cup mozzarella balls (bocconcini)
  • 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese Add for extra flavor
Seasoning and Garnish
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish (optional)

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by cooking the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and rinse under cold water to stop the cooking process.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the cooled pasta, pesto sauce, halved cherry tomatoes, and mozzarella balls. Be generous with tossing, ensuring every piece is coated with that delicious pesto.
  3. Add salt and pepper to taste, adjusting as you like. If you’re feeling extra fancy, mix in some freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
  4. Garnish with fresh basil, and your stunning pasta salad is ready to serve!

Notes

Consider adding grilled chicken, shrimp, or chickpeas for an extra protein kick. Make sure not to overcook your pasta; it should have a slight bite to it! If preparing in advance, leave out the mozzarella until serving.
