Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
- If using store-bought pizza dough, roll it out on a floured surface to about a 12-inch round. If making homemade dough, prepare it according to your favorite recipe.
- In a bowl, mix the pumpkin puree with olive oil and salt. Spread the mixture evenly over the rolled-out dough, leaving a small border for the crust.
- Sprinkle the shredded gouda generously atop the pumpkin spread.
Baking
- Carefully place the pizza in the preheated oven and bake for about 20 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbling.
Serving
- Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a minute. Slice and enjoy!
Notes
For Halal-friendly alternatives, consider using mozzarella or a dairy-free cheese if vegan. You can also substitute pumpkin with roasted butternut squash. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for about 3-4 days, or freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10-15 minutes.
