- In a large mixing bowl, combine the almond flour and cocoa powder. Whisk them together until well blended and free of lumps.
- Pour in the maple syrup and vanilla extract. Use a spatula or your hands to mix until a sticky dough forms.
- Gently fold in the almond slivers until evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
- Using your hands, scoop out a tablespoon of the mixture and roll it into a ball. Repeat until all mixture is formed into balls.
- Place the almond joy balls onto a parchment-lined baking sheet and refrigerate for about 30 minutes to firm up.
- Once chilled, serve immediately or store for later.
Notes
For nut-free option, substitute almond flour with sunflower seed flour. Ensure accurate measurement of ingredients for best results. Store in an airtight container; lasts about a week in the fridge or up to three months in the freezer.
