Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with wax paper to make removing the bars easier once they’re set.
- Place a single layer of Ritz crackers at the bottom of the lined dish.
Cooking
- In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Once melted, stir in the toffee bits until they are well combined and slightly bubbly.
- Pour the toffee mixture over the arranged Ritz crackers, ensuring to cover them evenly.
- Sprinkle the chocolate chips over the toffee layer, evenly distributing them.
- Place the dish in the oven and bake for about 10 minutes, or until the chocolate chips are melted and gooey.
Cooling and Serving
- Remove from the oven and allow it to cool completely before lifting the bars out using the wax paper.
- Cut into squares or rectangles for serving.
Notes
These bars pair wonderfully with coffee, hot chocolate, or ice-cold milk. For storage, keep in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days or refrigerate for up to two weeks.
