Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- If your puff pastry is frozen, ensure it’s completely thawed. Roll it out on a lightly floured surface to fit your baking tray.
- Wash, pit, and slice the plums, making even slices for a beautiful presentation.
- Lay the plum slices evenly over the puff pastry, leaving a small border around the edges.
- Evenly sprinkle the sugar over the plums to enhance their sweetness as they bake.
- In a small bowl, beat the egg with a fork. Brush the edges of the pastry with the egg wash.
Baking
- Place the tart in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the pastry is golden and the plums are tender.
- Allow the tart to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy it warm, perhaps with a scoop of ice cream!
Notes
For storage, cover any leftover slices securely and place them in the refrigerator. It will stay fresh for about 2-3 days. If you want to keep it longer, consider freezing it after it’s completely cooled.
