  • 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes Use canned tomatoes with juices.
  • 1 cup heavy cream For a lighter version, use half-and-half.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Sauté until fragrant.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil Use for sautéing.
  • 4 ounces burrata cheese For topping.
  • Fresh basil leaves For garnish.

Method
 

Cook the Gnocchi
  1. Boil salted water in a large pot. Add the gnocchi once boiling and cook according to package instructions, usually about 2-3 minutes until they float. Drain and set aside.
Prepare the Sauce
  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
Add Tomatoes and Cream
  1. Pour in the canned diced tomatoes with juices. Stir in the heavy cream, and season with salt and pepper. Let it simmer for 5-7 minutes.
Combine Gnocchi and Sauce

Notes
