Preparation
- Crush the Oreo cookies into fine crumbs using a food processor or by placing them in a zip-lock bag and crushing them with a rolling pin. Set aside about 2 tablespoons of crumbs for topping later.
- In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until it is smooth and creamy, about 2-3 minutes with a hand mixer.
- Gradually add the crushed Oreo crumbs to the cream cheese, mixing until well combined. Slowly pour in the milk and continue to mix until everything is smooth and evenly blended.
- In an 8x8 inch dish, start layering the mixture. Begin with a layer of the Oreo mixture, then top with a layer of whole Oreo cookies for added texture. Repeat the layering process until all mixtures and cookies are used.
- Sprinkle the reserved Oreo cookie crumbs on top of the final layer.
- Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight if possible.
- Once chilled, slice and serve your delightful cake.
Notes
For lighter variation, try using neufchâtel cheese instead of cream cheese. Make sure to refrigerate long enough for the cake to fully set. Customize with sprinkles, fruits, or whipped cream to elevate your presentation.
