Ingredients

Doughnut Ingredients
  • 1 cup chocolate cereal For coating and crunch
  • 1 cup melted chocolate For coating the doughnuts
  • 1 cup doughnut batter (store-bought or homemade) Ensure batter is ready before starting

Method

Preparation
  1. If you're making your doughnut batter from scratch, combine your dry ingredients (flour, sugar, baking powder) and wet ingredients (milk, eggs, vanilla) in a bowl. Mix until smooth.
  2. Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) to ensure it's hot enough for baking.
  3. Use a non-stick spray or oil to grease the doughnut pan to prevent your doughnuts from sticking.
Baking
  1. In a bowl, add your chocolate cereal and crush it slightly to create an even coating texture.
  2. Pour your doughnut batter into the pan, filling each mold about 3/4 full.
  3. Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for about 10-12 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  4. While the doughnuts are baking, melt your chocolate over a double boiler or in the microwave in short intervals (15-30 seconds) until smooth.
Coating
  1. Once the doughnuts cool slightly, dip each doughnut into the melted chocolate and then roll in the crushed chocolate cereal.
  2. Let the doughnuts sit for a few minutes to let the chocolate set, and then they’re ready to serve!
