Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened Always use unsalted butter for better control of saltiness.
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened butter and granulated sugar. Cream the mixture until it’s light and fluffy (about 2-3 minutes).
  3. Gradually add the flour, mixing until the dough comes together. It should be soft and slightly sticky.
  4. Using a tablespoon or a cookie scoop, drop rounded balls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving a little space between each cookie.
  5. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges start to turn slightly golden.
  6. Remove from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  7. Serve with your favorite tea or coffee.

Notes

For fluffier cookies, refrigerate the dough for about 30 minutes before baking. You can also customize by adding chocolate chips, nuts, or dried fruits.
