Ingredients
  

Chicken Filling
  • 1 pound ground chicken Can substitute with ground turkey or beef
  • 1 tablespoon taco seasoning
Taco Assembly
  • 12 small taco shells
  • 1 cup shredded cheese Cheddar or Mexican blend
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • to taste Lettuce for topping

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground chicken until fully cooked, about 7-10 minutes.
  3. Sprinkle the taco seasoning over the cooked chicken, mix well, and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  4. Stand the taco shells up on a baking sheet securely.
  5. Spoon the seasoned chicken mixture evenly into each taco shell.
  6. Top each taco with shredded cheese.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Garnish with diced tomatoes, sour cream, chopped cilantro, and lettuce.
  9. Serve immediately while warm.

Notes

To store leftovers, place uneaten tacos in an airtight container for up to 2-3 days, or freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat in the oven for best results.
