Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 4 pieces boneless chicken breasts Trim excess fat and pat dry.
Honey Mustard Sauce
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard Can substitute with whole grain mustard.
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste Be cautious with salt; start with less and adjust.

Method

Preparation
  1. Begin by trimming any excess fat from the boneless chicken breasts and patting them dry with paper towels.
Mix the Sauce
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the honey, Dijon mustard, soy sauce, olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until well combined.
Slow Cooker Setup
  1. Place the chicken breasts in the slow cooker, ensuring they are evenly distributed. Pour the honey mustard sauce over the chicken, ensuring that each piece is well-coated.
Cooking
  1. Cover the slow cooker with its lid and set it on low for about 6 to 7 hours or on high for about 4 hours.
  2. The chicken is ready when it’s tender and shreds easily with a fork.
Serve
  1. Once cooked, remove the chicken from the slow cooker and, if desired, whisk the remaining sauce to create a thicker glaze.
  2. Serve the chicken warm, drizzling the sauce over the top.
